- Ripped abs or arms?
- Defending against sickness and disease?
- Fighting an existing illness or condition?
- Increase your self-confidence?
- Improve your chances of finding a significant other?
Wow…and that’s only a partial list of motivates people to lose weight.
With so many different motivations and associated weight-loss goals, it should be clear to you that you need to first understand which of these drives your priority to lose weight so that you can 1) stay motivated, 2) set the appropriate goals and 3) focus on the right program to achieve what you want most.
My own personal goals are to increase my energy level and stamina followed closely by toning my abdoman. For me, cardiovascular exercise such as walking, running, aerobics, swimming would align well with my goals while muscle toning for my abdoman would also help in weight loss as well as the toning making up my goals.
For others, you will have different priorities.
So, before taking another step in your weight loss and health program, step back – be honest and understand what you want from your fat burning program, set your goals and get on with it!
